In old days, we would hear, “Jack of all trades but master of none” most of us believed to focus and expertise in only one skill. Not completely denying it, but now, things have changed, and I would like to discuss the concept- of "Skill Stacking" with all of you. Scott Adams, an American author, and cartoonist developed and called this talent stacking. But since this has nothing to do with talent, but developing the skills alone, let us call it skill stacking.
How to be successful in life? This is something we all keep searching for. It is not the old age jack of all trades. Let us dig deeper into the concept of skill stacking. The idea is simple, just observe the successful people whom you admire and follow. They succeeded when they developed a combination of more than one skill related to the main skill that they focus on. They multiplied the skills in them. For example, a company’s CEO should be good at many things to be in that position- leadership, communication, ideas and strategies, human resource management, analysis, etc...
When the FIFA World Cup was happening, football lovers were heavily discussing what makes a perfect team and why they love it. A good team should have a good practice, team management, team positioning, communication, and whatnot, the list goes on...

The same thing is applicable here as well. If you want to achieve something in life and be successful, don’t simply add up your major skills alone, but multiply the relative skills also to reach the goal soon. For example, if you want to be a fashionista, you might have developed the skills required, but at the same time, to master that role, you should multiply relative skills that help you achieve the goal faster. Time management, task prioritizing, drawing, accounting, etc... should also be a part of the skills required to reach your goal. That is the concept of skill stacking. It does not mean deviating from the main skill or doing multiple and unrelated pieces of stuff simultaneously. Identify what skills are required to achieve your goals and be good at it, not best, though.
A beautiful, but simple concept we all should work to reach our goals and enjoy the success. The relevance of this concept will be known once you start applying it in your life. So, keep multiplying your skills and see how you succeed!!!
